Volunteering at GiGi’s has honestly changed my life, and I just love being there! Helping with the programs at GiGi’s, especially Young Athletes, is the best part of my week. I am always looking forward to the next time I get to be there.

Over the past couple of years, I have met so many amazing people, and have made so many new friends. One amazing family in particular is the Toro family. On my first day volunteering at GiGi’s, Mia Toro was the first participant I got to meet, and a few weeks later my mom and I got paired with her for tutoring. Over the past year and a half we have grown very close to the Toros, and now they have become family to us. The experience of working with Mia, along with everyone else I’ve had the privilege of getting to know at GiGi’s, have been some of the best experiences of my life.

My time at GiGi’s Raleigh has inspired me to get a team together and start the process of opening a playhouse in Denver, CO where I plan to move for college.
