Volunteer Spotlight: Celebrating Officer Ross and the Cary Police Department – A Meaningful Partnership

At GiGi’s Playhouse in downtown Cary, North Carolina, we believe in the power of community and the extraordinary impact of our dedicated volunteers. Today, we are thrilled to shine a spotlight on a special partnership that has brought boundless joy to our participants and enriched our GiGi’s family – our collaboration with the Cary Police Department, and in particular, the remarkable Officer Ross. 

In our new space in downtown Cary, we were eager to create programs that fostered inclusivity and brought smiles to the faces of our participants. That’s when we introduced “Walk with a Cop.” This heartwarming initiative aimed to bridge the gap between our participants and the local police force while promoting a sense of community. 

In the heart of “Walk with a Cop,” we found Officer Ross, a true gem within the Cary Police Department. Officer Ross has been an indispensable part of both our GiGiFIT and “Walk with a Cop” programs. His dedication, warmth, and unwavering support have left an indelible mark on our community. 

One of the most striking qualities of Officer Ross is his ever-present smile. It’s a smile that lights up the room and warms our hearts. His positivity is contagious, and it has an incredible impact on our participants, creating an environment of trust, comfort, and pure joy. 

Officer Ross’s commitment goes beyond the uniform. He genuinely loves and cares for our participants. He takes the time to connect with them, listen to their stories, and understand their dreams and challenges. His actions demonstrate that the Cary Police Department is not just a source of protection but a source of friendship and support.
