When our playhouse doors are open, we take pride in informing our families of community opportunities, resources, events, and fundraisers. We want to continue featuring these opportunities while we are operating virtually -we’ve created a virtual bulletin board to display all things going on in our community right now. You’ll find below, opportunities for your family to participate in and opportunities for your family to support other local families.

  • Mask of Hope
My team and I have been making masks with windows along with regular masks under the name “Mask of Hope”. We are Deaf owned business located in Garner, NC. We can ship masks nationwide and offer pick ups locally.  Masks with windows are not just for Deaf and hard of hearings, also anyone who seeks better understanding facial expressions.
  • Antiraclets (on instagram)
Rhythm, Generation G Youth Board volunteer started a handmade glassbead and organic thread jewelry account on instagram.  By combining her skills in craftsmanship and her urgency to actively stand against racial oppression and the dehumanization of Blacks in America, Rhythm created a brand with the promise to send 50% of proceeds to the Autistic People of Color Fund. As an active volunteer for a local Down syndrome Achievement Center and President of the Youth Board at GiGi’s Playhouse; this organization stood apart for me and truly spoke to my heart. This is her way and effort to fight against the deprivation of my community’s human rights.
  • Keepsake Tales
Keepsake Tales exists because we believe that every child is one of a kind and has intrinsic value. We are creating the most personalized children’s books in the world so that every child – regardless off what they look like – can see themselves as the champions of their story and understand that they do matter.
