Shining Bright: April Spotlights
Join us in celebrating and learning more about the incredible people and programs that make GiGi’s Nashville such a special place!

At just 11 months old, Michael is already making a joyful impact at GiGi’s Playhouse! With his bright smile and curious spirit, he lights up every room he enters. Michael attends our LMNOP program alongside his family, where he is surrounded by music, movement, learning, and plenty of encouragement. LMNOP is a special time for families to bond while building early communication and developmental skills through songs, play, and connection. Michael especially enjoys exploring new sounds and engaging with the interactive activities that make learning feel like play.
In addition to LMNOP, Michael participates in our Amina Grace Speech Therapy Program, where he is already beginning to build important foundations for communication. Through personalized support and a nurturing environment, Michael is gaining skills while his family gains tools and confidence to support his growth at home.
We love watching Michael discover the world around him and celebrate each milestone along the way. His journey is just beginning, and we are so honored to be part of it!

At GiGi’s Playhouse, some of our earliest and most joyful learning happens during LMNOP, a program specially designed for our youngest participants and their families. Through music, movement, and play-based learning, LMNOP helps build the foundation for language development in a fun and welcoming environment. Each session is filled with songs, dancing, interactive activities, and the introduction of simple sign language, all thoughtfully designed to encourage communication skills and early developmental growth.
By combining rhythm, repetition, and movement, participants naturally practice sounds, gestures, and social interaction while having fun alongside their peers. But LMNOP is about more than developmental milestones — it’s also about connection. Families have the opportunity to build relationships, share experiences, and form a supportive community with others walking similar journeys. Caregivers leave not only with smiles, but with tools and strategies they can continue using at home to support their child’s communication skills. From first giggles to first signs and new sounds, LMNOP celebrates every step forward. We are honored to watch our youngest participants grow, learn, and thrive while their families grow in confidence and community right alongside them.

Since joining GiGi’s Playhouse this fall while attending college, Jenna has truly become part of our Playhouse family. Jumping right in from day one, she has shared her time and talents across multiple programs, volunteering with both LMNOP, Dance and GiGi’s Kitchen Adult. Jenna’s commitment to GiGi’s didn’t begin here — she has been volunteering with GiGi’s Playhouse in her home state for many years, contributing close to 90 volunteer hours before even arriving in Nashville. That dedication shines through in everything she does. Whether she’s encouraging participants during dance, supporting skill-building in the kitchen, or simply offering a warm smile and helping hand, Jenna brings positivity and energy to every program she joins. Participants, families, and fellow volunteers alike are always happy to see her walk through the doors. We are so grateful Jenna chose to continue her GiGi’s journey with us while away at college. Volunteers like her remind us how powerful consistency, kindness, and a servant’s heart can be in building an accepting and supportive community. Thank you, Jenna, for sharing your time, your enthusiasm, and your heart with GiGi’s Playhouse — we are lucky to have you!

This semester, we were thrilled to welcome Sydney to GiGi’s Playhouse as one of our math tutors, and she has already made a wonderful impact! From the moment she joined us, Sydney brought kindness, positivity, and a genuine desire to connect with her student. Known for her warm smile and encouraging spirit, Sydney works hard to create sessions that are both engaging and fun. She takes the time to build meaningful connections, helping her student feel confident while developing important math skills. Her patience and creativity make each tutoring session a place where learning feels exciting and supportive. Sydney’s dedication extends beyond tutoring sessions as well. She showed her commitment to our mission by supporting the Playhouse at our recent gala, demonstrating just how much she cares about the GiGi’s community. We are so grateful for the energy, compassion, and enthusiasm Sydney brings to GiGi’s Playhouse. Volunteers like her help create the encouraging environment where our participants can grow, learn, and succeed. Thank you, Sydney, for sharing your time and heart with us!
