Volunteer Spotlight: Fernanda Mooney
GiGi’s Playhouse Milwaukee is deeply grateful for the incredible dedication and heart shown by Fernanda Mooney in helping make this year’s Brew HaHa event such a success. As a key member of the event committee, Fernanda poured her time, creativity, and energy into organizing countless details, from coordinating with caterers to plan the menu, to managing the many moving pieces that make an event of this scale possible. Her commitment and fresh take ensured that every guest experienced a warm, welcoming, and memorable evening.
Fernanda’s efforts didn’t stop there. She went above and beyond by securing event sponsorships and donations, helping to rally community support for GiGi’s mission of acceptance and inclusion. On top of that, she and her family generously donated a raffle basket and shared a sweet taste of her own talent by contributing her signature stuffed cookies from her business, Beijos Brazilian Sweets, as part of the dessert offerings. Each bite was a reflection of her passion and love for both her craft and the GiGi’s community.
Beyond her incredible volunteerism, as proud mom to Theodore, Fernanda is a familiar and cherished face at GiGi’s Playhouse Milwaukee, frequently bringing Theodore to a variety of programs that help him thrive and connect with his peers. Her husband, Ryan, also contributes his time and leadership as a valued member of our Board of Directors. Together, the Mooney family embodies the very heart of what GiGi’s Playhouse stands for: family, community, and empowerment. We are profoundly thankful for the Mooney’s and for all of our families whose generosity, time, and spirit make everything we do possible. GiGi’s truly wouldn’t be the same without you.
