Dash Team Highlight: Fighting Peanut!

Who inspired this team and what makes them EXTRA awesome? Madeline, or Maddie, is the EXTRA amazing inspiration for this team. She is lovingly referred to as Peanut by her family. In the short 8 months that she has been on this planet, she has already had 3 surgeries, including open heart surgery, multiple hospital stays, and proven time and time again how incredibly strong she is. She is our Fighting Peanut. Her resilience and strength is truly inspiring.

What is your favorite part of attending programs and events at GiGi’s Milwaukee? We have yet to attend any of GiGi’s events but are very much looking forward to joining!

What does acceptance mean to you and how do you want to encourage our community (and the world) to be more accepting? Acceptance means including everyone, regardless of any differences. Encouraging others to see beyond what a person might look or act like and to truly see them as a whole person rather than what makes them different would make the world a better place.

What Programs would you like to see more of at GiGi’s Playhouse Milwaukee? We look forward to joining more programs geared toward younger kids.

Join Maddie and her friends at the Dash for Down Syndrome on May 5th at Lake Park – sign up today!
