Welcome Aiden

Here is a little something from our family about how grateful we are that you and the playhouse have come into our lives! Thank you!

Aiden

Our family welcomed Aiden into our lives on Febuary 6, 2015. We knew having a 3rd child would complete our family. Little did we know just how much Aiden would change our lives forever.

On Febuary 17th, it was confirmed that Aiden had down syndrome. As a family we were very shocked, overwhelmed and experiencing many emotions. We did not know what to do or where to begin to start this journey in order to provide the best for Aiden. A family friend mentioned GiGi’s Playhouse and that there was one right here in McHenry. After processing the news we found ourselves at the doorstep of GiGi’s Playhouse. It was there that we found love, understanding and support.

Since that day we have attended many functions and continued to feel so welcome. In June we joined the GiGi’s Playhouse 5K walk/run and were supported by many family and friends. It was a wonderful experience to see so many people join together for one common goal and to see such a community!

We are blessed to have Aiden and to have found GiGi’s Playhouse. We now feel comfortable and knowledgeable to strongly move forward in helping Aiden develop into a very special young man! We are forever grateful to GiGi’s Playhouse for being a guiding light when we didn’t know where to begin!

Love,

The Lucius Family
