a role model for the Down Syndrome community

Karrie Brown is a role model for the Down Syndrome community. Karrie made her dream of modeling come true in high school when Wet Seal selected her as a model for their brand. Not because she had Down syndrome, but inspite of it. Karrie went on to act in a film, be featured in multiple teen magazines, do some modeling for Maurices, walk the red carpet and attend pre-Oscar events! She has a bracelet designed for her by Ronaldo Designer Jewelry and the proceeds benefit her non profit organization.. karriedaway, which helps other individuals with disabilities fulfill their dreams and find meaningful employment.
We are excited to announce Karrie Brown will be our guest and motivational speaker for our GiGi’s Playhouse McHenry County Spring Be-You-Tiful Fashion Show, April 22, 2018! This young woman seems to have lived life more than most people. She has pursued her dreams in a way a lot of us have not. She is an inspiration and role model!
