Meet our new Program/Volunteer Coordinator!

Antonella was raised in Palm Beach, Florida, and is a proud first-generation American and fluent in both English and Spanish. In 2021, she moved to Houston to earn her B.S. in Health Science—Public Health, with a minor in Sociology focused on Health and Medicine, at the University of Houston. 

Her journey into public health began with her younger sister Danicca, who is 13 and has Down syndrome. Danicca is Antonella’s heart and inspiration. Watching her grow, thrive, and overcome challenges lit a spark in Antonella that grew into a lifelong commitment to making the world more inclusive and kind. She strives to help others feel seen, supported, and celebrated just like she always has for her sister. During college, Antonella worked in childcare, providing care for children of various ages in home settings. She also served as Vice President of the PEEPS mentorship program, where she supported students returning from academic suspension through mental health first aid, encouragement, and personalized guidance. These roles helped her grow into a leader rooted in empathy, structure, and patience. 

Antonella had known about GiGi’s Playhouse for years, but it wasn’t until moving to Houston that she found one nearby. She began as an intern and instantly felt at home in the community. Now, in her new role, she’s honored to help others thrive in a place that already feels like family. Outside of work, Antonella enjoys traveling, spending time with her big, loving family, and spreading joy wherever she goes. Whether she’s planning a program or welcoming a new volunteer, she leads with heart and a deep belief in every person’s unlimited potential.
