Volunteer & Program Spotlight: The Heart Behind GiGi’s Kitchen Kids

At GiGi’s Playhouse, we know that building confidence and independence can start with something as simple—and meaningful—as cooking a meal together. That’s exactly what GiGi’s Kitchen Kids is all about. And at the heart of this program is a very special family: Chef Tiffany, her daughter Chef Maddie, and their wonderful helper, Bella.

What started as a creative way to teach our participants kitchen skills has grown into one of the most loved programs at our Playhouse. Thanks to the dedication and passion of this amazing trio, GiGi’s Kitchen Kids is more than just a cooking program—it’s a space where confidence grows, friendships form, and abilities shine.

Chef Tiffany brings her culinary know-how and a deep love for teaching to every session. She guides our participants through recipes with patience, enthusiasm, and a strong belief in their abilities. Her daughter, Chef Maddie, has followed in her mom’s footsteps—not only assisting with food prep but also setting a beautiful example of leadership and kindness. Bella rounds out the team with her joyful energy and can-do spirit, always jumping in to support wherever needed.

Their teamwork, love, and consistency have helped shape GiGi’s Kitchen Kids into an impactful, hands-on experience that our participants look forward to each week. From measuring and mixing to learning kitchen safety and teamwork, the skills developed here extend far beyond the kitchen walls.

Most importantly, this family has helped create a space where participants feel empowered. They aren’t just cooking—they’re gaining independence, learning valuable life skills, and experiencing the joy of achievement in a supportive and inclusive environment.
