Your promise is a daily reminder to always act with acceptance and generosity
Our goal is to have ONE MILLION people to promise and post that they will be accepting, generous and kind!
It's not OK to allow another person to be bullied, degraded or made to feel inferior. Corporations, schools, and the like can all get involved and show that we are all better than what the world is looking like today.
Promise your global message of acceptance today!
Next, challenge your friends on social media to do the same! Draw a heart in on your hand, snap a selfie & tag #gigisplayhouse
Generation G: A conscious decision to be better every day.
In the last 15 years, GiGi’s Playhouse has made significant progress and impact in supporting individuals with Down syndrome, but we have only scratched the surface. Still, new parents are not receiving the positive encouragement they need from medical professionals upon receiving a diagnosis. Students with Down syndrome still experience unfounded discrimination at school and on social media. Qualified adults with Down syndrome still can’t access meaningful jobs. Dedicated locations, FREE purposeful programs, and positive support do not guarantee long-term success.
There is still so much more to do. Without more actions to create lasting acceptance, opportunities for present and future generations will falter. Our kids never get to take a break from their diagnosis. Therefore, we will not stop fighting for them.
Our plan is called Generation G.
Generation G is a conscious decision to be better every day.
Generation G challenges the status quo by stepping outside of comfort zones.
Sit with a new friend at lunch.
Give an individual with a disability an employment opportunity.
Smile & say hi to someone new.
Share how you are living Generation G by tagging #generationG on social media.
Draw it! Post it! Live it!
