Summer Success Story: Shizuka’s Literacy Leap! 

Summer at GiGi’s Playhouse Hoffman Estates is always filled with learning, growth, and plenty of smiles—and this season has been no exception! One of our shining stars, Shizuka, has been working incredibly hard during her one-on-one literacy tutoring sessions, and her progress has been nothing short of inspiring. 

Alongside her dedicated tutor, Lauren, Shizuka has been showing up each week full of energy and enthusiasm for learning. She arrives early for every session, takes the time to prepare her materials, and creates a calm, focused environment in her tutoring room—setting the tone for success before the session even begins. 

And all that hard work is paying off. Over the past few months, Shizuka has jumped not one, but TWO reading levels—moving from level G all the way to level I! This kind of progress reflects her persistence, positive attitude, and the strong bond she has built with her tutor. 

We are so proud of both Shizuka and Lauren for their incredible teamwork and dedication. Their story is a beautiful example of what’s possible when we believe in potential, support one another, and keep pushing toward our goals.
