Who let the dogs out?
The Fox Valley Playhouse is excited for the return of two of our favorite groups! We let the dogs out when our furry friends from the Fox Valley Therapy Dog Club return to our Playhouse on October 20th from 12:30-1:30 PM for our Canine Connections group. This group is open to individuals of all ages to experience interaction with trained therapy dogs and meets on the third Saturday of each month from October through May.
Studies show that therapy dogs can relieve stress, help provide social stimulation, and satisfy the need for touch. What better way to promote emotional well-being than to spend some time with a furry companion?
“Our family really looks forward to visiting with the other children and therapy dogs at GiGi’s. Our son loves interacting with CeCe, an affectionate boxer, and we are amazed at what a good listener she is when he reads to her!”
Also returning in October is our Hop, Skip and Jumpers group for 3-5 year olds with our new leader and occupational therapist, Monique Kubeck of Pedia Progress therapy services. This group will meet on October 20th from 10:30-11:30 AM and has a focus of motor skills, sensory activities and really gets kiddos moving!
