Getting to Know Program Leader for GiGi’s Kitchen

  • My name is Amanda Lopez, and I am a graduate student at Elmhurst University in the Masters of Occupational Therapy Program. Something fun about me is that I love to explore the city of Chicago with friends, as there is always something new to find.
  • I look forward to leading GiGi’s Kitchen as it is going to enable me to put the new skills I have learned in OT school into action/ practice.
  • Something I hope to learn while at GiGi’s Playhouse is about the Down syndrome community. This is going to be my first time closely working with this population, and I am excited to meet and learn from them!
