Volunteer Spotlight- Jesse Barney

Volunteer Spotlight- Jesse Barney, literacy tutor assistant

Hi I’m Jesse Barney! This is my first time tutoring and I am so excited! A major one of my personal interests is dance. Last year I was able to bring students with special needs, most of whom had Down syndrome, into my school’s Orchesis show. It was one of the highlights of my year and I have been so sad that we haven’t been able to practice with them this year. I have chosen to become a tutor because I get to hang out with and help a student with Down syndrome again.
Welcome Jesse, we can’t wait to bring your enthusiasm and passion for working with participants with Down syndrome to our literacy tutoring program!
