Day 8: Fox Valley Board of Managers

The Fox Valley Board of Managers has gone through some transition in the last year.  Amanda, Jeannie, Miriam, Michael, and Casey stepped down and Emily, Emily, Andy, Joe, Frank, Charlie, Shae have since joined Bret, Charlie, Katie, Lauren and Kathryn.

With this transition there is a renewed vigor and purpose that is really exciting to be a part.

Thank you, Bret, for assuming the role of President. You have big shoes to fill, but we love your enthusiasm. You have recruited new board members Charlie, Charlie, and Shae. We are also thankful for your bringing in partnerships with the Fox River Business Alliance, Jeep Crusade for a Cause, and the Geneva Community Chest. We also thank you for choosing GiGi’s Playhouse as a charity for the Beth Shannon Memorial Charity Golf Outing. We are excited about the direction of our Playhouse under your leadership!

Thank you, Charlie, for assuming the role of Treasurer, and Andy for helping out with the role of treasurer. We look forward to our new fundraising and financial plans and a clear budget for where we are currently and where we want to be in 5 years.

Thank you, Katie, for being our secretary and doing such a great job in recruiting Emily, and helping with the Naperville Half Marathon. Katie also does a great job securing donations and ticket sales for our Gala.

Thank you, Lauren, for helping out with the Parent Round Table and being a part of the Program Committee. Lauren has also agreed to help out as a mentor for a new program we are helping to start in 2020- Super Sibs!!

Thank you, Kathryn, for being our Outreach Ambassador. You are an inspiration to everyone you meet. You are a living testimonial to what we hope to achieve with our educational and therapeutic programs- a beautiful and caring young woman with a purposeful and full life of friends and family. You are a ROCK STAR, and we are so lucky to have you as one of our board members and self-advocates.

Emily, thank you for joining the board and sharing about your sister in the October blog. We are excited to utilize your skills and experience in the Programs Committee and also would love to create more partnerships like Naperville Burn. You hit the ground running in January, and we appreciate your engaging so quickly!!

Emily, thank you form”officially” joining the board after being the program leader of Dance @ GiGi’s for 5 years. Your commitment to our cause and dedication to programming is a dream. Thank you for all you do currently and we look forward to seeing you in the new role as board member!

Joe, thank you for joining the board, and recruiting Frank. Your fundraising abilities have us in awe, and you are the first to ask “What can I do?”. Your energy and enthusiasm is contagious!!!

Andy, Shae, Charlie and Frank we look forward to getting to know you better and welcome to the GiGi’s Playhouse Fox Valley Family!
