last day as a fox valley intern

Hi everyone!

This is Katelyn, one of the two interns here at Fox Valley.  Today is my final day here.  I am sad, yet also excited to see what the future holds for me!  I’ve learned so much from being here and I’ve met so many amazing families.  I could not thank my supervisors, Linda and Julie, enough.  They have been so helpful and have answered all of my questions and they have taught me so many new things.  The families at GiGi’s Playhouse Fox Valley are also amazing, I’m so glad I got to meet them.

GiGi’s Playhouse is a wonderful organization, not just for families and children, but for anyone who walks through our doors to become a volunteer.  We are so thankful for our volunteers and I’m thankful I’ve been able to volunteer my time as a tutor and at some programs we have here.

I will be graduating in a few days with my Bachelors in Disability Studies.  I’m so thankful I was able to intern here at GiGi’s Playhouse Fox Valley.  I will miss this playhouse, my supervisors, and all the wonderful families!  Thanks for a great semester!
