IEP: Draft Reports

Here’s more to know about your child’s IEP meetings!  It’s best to keep in constant contact with your child’s teacher/therapists so you know about the progress your child is making.  About a week before the IEP meeting the school will send out what they call, draft reports, if they don’t send these out then you can request a copy.  It might be overwhelming to receive these reports, but they’re mainly for you to know what is going on and something to take notes on so you can bring up important topics in the meeting.

A special shout out to Carly Quinlan, IEP Consultant & Advocate with IEP Consulting, LLC for writing these blogs and sharing them with us.

The link below explains more about why a draft report is important!
