Who Ya Gonna Call?

At the beginning of my Senior year, I didn’t know what I wanted to study in college. I found GiGi’s Playhouse in August, began my internship, and I’ve been so changed. I recently submitted all my applications for college under Special Education and I’m very excited for my future. I give all the credit to GiGi’s Playhouse Fort Wayne for my decision. God has a big, master plan for all his children, and I finally found my purpose; to love and care for the disabled. “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Phillipians 4:6-7.

One of my favorite things about GiGi’s is meeting Cash. He has been a great friend to me and was the very first participant I was able to tutor. Cash is always willing to learn and listen. He always tries his hardest and has excelled so much in just a few short months. He began reading at a Level C and now reads full paragraphs and pages at a Level S! He has made me look at every aspect of my life with new eyes. Children with special needs have a very special place in my heart and I want to devote my career to help make their lives as great as possible. I treat Cash like he’s any other friend of mine and he makes Tuesdays my favorite day of the week! He is one of the many reasons why I chose Special Education as my major and I am hoping to work for GiGi’s Playhouse after college.
