Summer 2025 at GiGi’s Playhouse Fargo: 26 Free Programs for Every Age and Stage!
This summer, GiGi’s Playhouse Fargo is offering 26 engaging, educational, and totally FREE programs designed to support individuals with Down syndrome at every life stage, from infants to adults. Whether you’re building early skills, looking for summer academic enrichment, or joining a community of friends, there’s something for everyone here.

Programs for Early Learners (Ages 0–5)
Our early learning programs focus on language, movement, social play, and parent bonding. Build a foundation for growth with hands-on activities that nurture developmental milestones.
Early Learner Summer Schedule:
- GiGiFIT Infant – Wednesdays at 11:00 am & Thursdays at 4:30 pm
- GiGiFIT Preschool – Wednesdays at 11:00 am & Thursdays at 4:30 pm
- LMNOP & Leaps and Bounds – Alternating Tuesdays at 4:30 pm
Meghan, a physical therapist from Pediatric Partners, will be back leading our GiGiFIT classes for our early movers. This summer, we are trying something different! You now can choose to come at one or both of the times offered for GiGiFIT Infant and Preschool.
Programs for School-Age Kids (Ages 5–12)
From fitness to art to healthy eating, these interactive programs build strength, creativity, and confidence in every child.
School Age Summer Schedule:
- Healthy Kids Block GiGiFIT Kid- Alternating Tuesdays from 4:00-5:00 pm
- Healthy Kids Block GiGi’s Kitchen Kid- Alternating Tuesdays from 5:00–6:00 pm
- Art Explosion – One Monday each month at 2:00 pm.
- Zumba – June 23, July 21, August 11 from 3:00-3:30 pm
Programs for Teens & Adults (Ages 13+)
Our teen and adult programs focus on social engagement, independence, physical wellness, and real-world skills, all while building lifelong friendships.
Teen & Adult Summer Schedule:
- GiGiFIT Teen/Adult – Every Tuesday from 5:30–6:30 pm
- GiGi’s Kitchen Teen/Adult – Every Wednesday from 12:00 pm–1:30 pm
- Teen Tastic – One Thursday a month at 6:00 pm
- Fantastic Friends – Alternating Thursdays at 6:00 pm (this program will run continuously throughout the year)
- Friends, Fun, and Fitness – One Thursday a month at 6:00 pm
- Zumba – June 23, July 21, August 11 from 3:00-3:30 pm
1:1 Literacy and Math Tutoring
We’re thrilled to once again offer 1:1 Literacy and Math Tutoring at GiGi’s Playhouse Fargo this summer!
Participant Registration:

Session Dates:
🗓️ June 9 – August 14, 2025
Our tutoring program is designed for individuals with Down syndrome ages 5 and older. Participants work 1:1 with a trained volunteer tutor to boost skills in literacy or math using purposeful, evidence-based methods—all individualized to meet each student’s needs.
Why 1:1 Tutoring Matters:
Research shows that consistent, personalized support makes a significant difference in academic skills and confidence. Our tutoring programs help participants make measurable progress while building a love for learning!
Important Details:
- Sessions occur once a week at the same day and time, lasting approximately one hour.
- Tutors and participants are matched based on mutual availability.
- The more available times you select when registering, the better your chances of being matched.
- A meet & greet opportunity will be announced before the session begins.
- You will receive a placement confirmation email in May.
New This Summer!
Math Buddies and Backpack Buddies
Designed for ages 3 through teens, these two, side-by-side programs bring literacy and math into your home through weekly activity kits!
Program Dates: June 9 – August 11 (break around July 4)

Open Play at the Playhouse!
Looking for a casual way to connect, explore, and unwind? Join us for Open Play, now available twice a week this summer! This unstructured time is perfect for families to drop in, socialize, and let kids enjoy the Playhouse at their own pace.
Mondays: 3:00–6:00 PM
Wednesdays: 9:00–11:00 AM
Whether you’re new to GiGi’s or a longtime friend, Open Play is a great way to build community and enjoy the welcoming space we’ve created together. Nothing structured—just come and play!
