Ripple Effect

“Every time you stand up for an ideal, you send forth a tiny ripple of hope.” -Robert F. Kennedy

GiGi’s Playhouse in Fargo had a wonderful opportunity again this spring to meeting with local PaY committees from various High Schools. PaY (Philanthropy and Youth) is a program developed by The Barry Foundation with the vision to help youth in our community inspire, lead and share through grant-making. Proactive, is The Barry Foundation’s PaY theme for 2019. Proactive is symbolized by a water droplet creating a ripple. The ripple effect waved through the Fargo Playhouse doors as we inspired our future community leaders with our mission and how they could impact individuals with Down syndrome and their families.

GiGi’s Playhouse Fargo was the recipient of a $250.00 grant from Sheyenne High School to purchase math tutoring supplies. The Fargo Playhouse will launch this new educational program for participants with Down syndrome ages 3 through adulthood in the winter of 2019.

Thank you to Sheyenne High School PaY committee members for making an impact on building math skills for individuals with Down syndrome to help them increase their independence in school, our community and the workplace.
