Determination

“I am extremely proud to say that I am the big sister to Miss Kiara Mathis. Last night she completed the one mile youth run without giving up one bit. There were challenges along the way but never once did she back down from the determination she had. No we weren’t the first person to finish, but she did it. Until last night I thought that she wasn’t going to make it all the way, because of the noise, people, and new surroundings. But she proved me and all of the people watching her wrong. Last night was the proudest I have ever seen her, and she has absolutely every right to be proud. I am so thankful that I was there to run by her side and witness how much mental and physical strength she had. It was an amazing night!” Izzy Mathis
