Celebrating Clara’s Best of All

At GiGi’s Playhouse Fargo, we get to celebrate our amazing participants every day. Whether it’s a participant creating a new recipe in GiGi’s Kitchen or reaching new goals in our One-on-One Tutoring, we love to celebrate the dedication, enthusiasm, and progress our participants show every single day. 

Each month, we get to highlight one of our participants as our Best of All. When someone shows us continued, measurable progress, we get to lift them up as our Best of All! From small steps to large milestones, our Best of All participants have proven their growth, achievement, and dedication. 

This month, we’re excited to highlight Clara as our Participant Best of All. Clara is just two years old—and in that short time, she has proven to be a hard-working, playful, and expressive participant. No matter where she goes or who she meets, Clara’s smile and energy light up her surroundings. Since Clara is so young, we asked her mom, Marissa, to share some of Clara’s favorite memories and experiences with us at GiGi’s Playhouse Fargo. 

Meet Clara 

What does Clara enjoy doing? 
“Clara enjoys people, especially her biggest brother and her dad! She also really likes Clara! Haha! Mirrors are everything right now.” 

What programs do you participate in at GiGi’s? 
“GiGiFit  is soo fun! We have such a great little cohort. The kids all work so hard to get stronger! 
 
“Clara and her three big brothers love the chance to go to LMNOP together! It’s been great to build even more connection.” 

What do you enjoy most about coming to GiGi’s Playhouse? 
“COMMUNITY!! Clara is nothing but honored and welcomed! My other kiddos get to know other kiddos with Down syndrome and see how AWESOME everyone is! We just love it.” 

Favorite Moments

“Our very first time at GiGiFit resulted in Clara learning to roll over!! I couldn’t believe how easily she could accomplish milestones with the right help!”  

Clara’s growth continues outside of GiGi’s Playhouse, too! Recently, she has been working on her sign language. Clara loves to communicate, especially when using one of her favorite signs: “more!” 

Celebrating Clara

When asked about something Clara has been celebrating lately, her mom was understandably excited. 

“Clara is just starting to walk!!” 

This is such an amazing accomplishment, Clara! We are so proud of your progress and the joy you bring to GiGi’s. Congratulations on being our Best of All for the month—you truly deserve it!
