Exciting Update! $10,000 GiGi’s Kitchen Grant Funded by the FM Area Foundation

We’re thrilled to announce that GiGi’s Playhouse Fargo has received a $10,000 grant funded by the FM Area Foundation in support of our GiGi’s Kitchen program! We are incredibly grateful for this generous investment, which allows us to continue empowering individuals with Down syndrome through hands-on, confidence-building learning experiences in the kitchen.

A Recipe for Confidence, Independence, and Connection

GiGi’s Kitchen is one of our most impactful and engaging programs, designed to support the development of lifelong skills through cooking. Offered for kids, teens, and adults, each GiGi’s Kitchen session combines nutrition education, meal preparation, and social interaction in a fun and supportive environment.

Participants learn:

• How to safely use kitchen tools
• How to follow recipes and understand nutrition
• How to work as a team and build communication skills
• Confidence in independent living skills and healthy choices

Beyond the practical skills, GiGi’s Kitchen fosters friendships, builds self-esteem, and nurtures a love of food and wellness. It’s a powerful program that supports our mission to see individuals with Down syndrome living healthy, empowered, and independent lives.
