Celebrating the Best of All: Our First Participant of the Year

At GiGi’s Playhouse, one phrase guides everything we do: Best of All. It’s more than a motto—it’s a mindset. It’s about showing up, growing, and striving to be just a little better than yesterday.

Throughout the year, we celebrate this spirit through our Participant and Volunteer of the Month recognitions. But this year, at our gala, we introduced something new—an award that takes that celebration even further.

For the very first time, we honored our Best-of-All Participant of the Year.

Choosing just one recipient wasn’t easy. We are surrounded every day by individuals who inspire us with their determination, joy, and growth. But one participant stood out for the way she has embraced every opportunity, pushed past her comfort zone, and truly embodied what it means to give her Best of All.

Meet Jenny

Jenny has been part of the GiGi’s Playhouse family since 2021, and her impact is felt the moment she walks into a room.

She brings energy, laughter, and a sense of authenticity that draws people in. Her smile is contagious, her humor keeps everyone on their toes, and her kindness shows up in the simplest, most meaningful ways. Whether it’s offering encouragement or asking for a hug when she needs one, Jenny reminds us what connection really looks like.

A Year of Growth

Over the past year, Jenny has grown in ways that have been nothing short of inspiring.

She’s an active participant in Fantastic Friends and GiGiFit, and recently joined our pilot Achievers program—where her progress has truly shined. In the kitchen, she’s gained confidence and independence, moving from needing step-by-step guidance to nearly completing recipes on her own.

In Fantastic Friends, she’s found her voice—singing karaoke, dancing under the disco ball, and even stepping into leadership moments with her peers.

Jenny doesn’t just participate—she embraces every experience fully, bringing joy and enthusiasm with her wherever she goes.

A Moment to Remember

During the gala, Jenny took the stage to accept her award, and in true Jenny fashion, she shared a glimpse into what GiGi’s means to her.

Her favorite programs? Achievers on Wednesdays and Fantastic Friends on Thursdays.

Her favorite memories? Playing basketball in GiGiFit and cooking in the kitchen.

And when asked to thank the crowd, she did so with a simple, heartfelt message:

“Thank you for supporting GiGi’s.”

Why It Matters

Moments like these remind us exactly why we do what we do.

Jenny’s journey is a reflection of what’s possible when individuals are given the space, support, and encouragement to grow. She is a shining example of confidence, resilience, and joy—and we are so proud to celebrate her.
