A daily challenge to do a little better than you did the day before and it’s always celebrated. Possible manifestations: standing just one second longer, reading just one more word, learning just one new number, taking just one more step, never a competition, never completed.
Participant Best of All
Our participant best-of-all for the month of June is Evelyn! Evelyn is a joy and a light to have in the Playhouse. She joins us for programs such as Destination Discovery, Open Play, Literacy Tutoring and GiGi’s Kitchen Kids. She works hard to stay on task and is willing to try new things. At Open Play, Evelyn loves to dress up as “Doctor Evelyn” and check everyone’s heart, especially the baby dolls. Evelyn has been working on drinking out of a cup without a straw, and this month in Destination Discovery, she did just that! Evelyn’s persistence inspires us all and we are so glad she is a regular participant here at GiGi’s.
Volunteer Best of All
Our volunteer spotlight for the month of June shines on Della! Della has been a GiGi’s volunteer for a year and a half and she has volunteered in programs such as GiGi Kitchen Teen & Adult, GiGi’s Kitchen Kid, Teen Tastic, and our special events. She is enthusiastic, passionate, always willing to lend a helping hand, and she is a positive presence in the Playhouse. Della is a great influence among our teens and we are so grateful to have a volunteer who is a peer to our teen group. Thank you, Della, for being a part of our GiGi’s family!
