Let’s welcome our first family of 2026- the Bennett Family!

We are thrilled to introduce our first family of 2026, the Bennett Family! As the new year began, we were delighted to be welcomed into January with a very special and heartwarming visit from this beautiful family. From the moment they walked through our doors, their smiles, excitement, and openness made it clear that this would be the beginning of a meaningful connection with our GiGi’s Playhouse El Paso community.

Their visit began with a full tour of the Playhouse, where the Bennett family had the opportunity to explore each of our program spaces and learn more about the purpose behind everything we do. Along the way, they met members of our dedicated staff and volunteers who shared how our programs are designed to empower individuals with Down syndrome and provide families with encouragement, education, and a strong sense of belonging. It was a wonderful opportunity to introduce the Bennetts to the heart of our Playhouse—our people, our mission, and our commitment to delivering free, purposeful programming for individuals of all ages.

Throughout the tour, there were many moments of meaningful conversation and connection. We talked about the wide variety of programs available at GiGi’s Playhouse El Paso, including early intervention and play-based learning opportunities, literacy and math tutoring, health and wellness programs, and social and community-building events. As the Bennett family learned more about the services available to them, there was a shared sense of excitement and hope about the opportunities ahead and the ways GiGi’s Playhouse can support their family throughout every stage of life.

Welcoming a new family into our Playhouse is always special, but welcoming the Bennett Family as our very first family of 2026 made this visit even more memorable. Moments like these remind us why our mission is so important and why our community continues to grow stronger each year. For families navigating a new journey, having a place that offers support, connection, and understanding can make all the difference. At GiGi’s Playhouse El Paso, we strive to be that place—a safe and welcoming environment where families can find encouragement, build friendships, and celebrate every milestone along the way.

One of the most joyful parts of the visit was getting to know the Bennetts and hearing about their hopes and dreams for their child. We were especially excited to welcome baby Bennett and to share how our early childhood and family programs are created to support development, confidence, and connection from the very beginning. Our team is passionate about creating opportunities that allow every participant to shine, and we look forward to seeing baby Bennett grow, learn, and thrive alongside other families who are part of our Playhouse community.

The Bennett family’s visit was a beautiful reminder that GiGi’s Playhouse is more than just a building—it is a place where relationships begin, where families are welcomed without hesitation, and where individuals with Down syndrome are celebrated for who they are. It is a place where parents can find reassurance, siblings can build friendships, and participants can discover their strengths in an inclusive and uplifting environment.

As we begin a new year of programs, events, and community outreach, we are grateful to start 2026 by welcoming the Bennett Family into our GiGi’s Playhouse El Paso family. We are honored that they have chosen our Playhouse as a place of support, growth, and connection, and we look forward to walking beside them as their journey continues.

We cannot wait to watch baby Bennett reach new milestones, make new friends, and take part in the many opportunities our programs provide. The years ahead will be filled with learning, laughter, and celebration, and we are so thankful that the Bennett Family will be part of those moments. Welcome to GiGi’s Playhouse El Paso—we are so happy you are here. 💙
