This conference serves as a platform to increase health care providers’ awareness of clinical research and health promotion strategies for individuals with Down syndrome. This educational intervention will provide the latest evidence-based medicine and emerging literature that is changing how to diagnose and manage patients with Down syndrome.
This activity is designed for family medicine physicians, internal medicine physicians, pediatricians, physicians’ assistants, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, social workers and other interested health care providers.
Parents, direct care staff and advocates are encouraged to attend the family sessions, which are designed to provide information and resources that will help them assist individuals with Down syndrome.
