New Faces of GiGi’s Playhouse Detroit

Out with the old and in with the new!

Part of our mission at GiGi’s Playhouse is to promote the positive perception of individuals with Down syndrome.  Therefore, every GiGi’s Playhouse around the country features amazing photo galleries of individuals with Down syndrome on the inside AND outside of their Playhouses.

On the front of our Playhouse, you will see the beautiful faces of our community. Since the opening of the Playhouse in January 2019, our windows have displayed our sweet friends with Down syndrome. It has been a few years since those pictures were taken and our friends have grown up since then and so have we!

So, earlier this month our building received an amazing update, new pictures! As we are preparing for our fall programs and are continuing to welcome families back to the Playhouse, we decided to make a noticeable change!

Thank you to LAB Graphics, INC. who came to the Playhouse to install the new and updated window decals! Our friends look a little bit older but their smiling faces have not changed. We are so thankful to Aly of Aly Darin Photography who took these amazing pictures.

Not only are we changing the way Down syndrome is viewed, spoken about, and discussed, but we’re impacting the world (quite literally).  We’re creating a different dialogue and that often starts with a picture.

Stop by the Playhouse and take a look at our updated photos! Playhouse hours are Monday-Friday 9:30AM to 3:00PM, but feel free to stop by when you are in the area to check out the new windows!
