Summer 1:1 Tutoring & Fall Registration Information

Our summer one on one tutoring programs are in full swing here at the Playhouse and we love watching our participants learn!

Currently our Playhouse is offering Math and Literacy tutoring, both of which are designed to challenge participants while supporting them as they reach their best of all!

Our Math Tutoring program uses a multi-sensory, strength-based approach to builds confidence and success for our students. The program helps students improve in math skills, self-esteem, critical thinking, problem solving skills, independence, and fine motor skills. Our students are using tools like Numicon and Touch Math to grow but also to have fun!

The literacy tutoring program supports the increase of sight word recognition, vocabulary, comprehension, articulation, self-esteem, speech clarity and fine motor skills. The Playhouse has many fun books and games that make reading a blast!

GiGi’s Playhouse Detroit is excited to announce that starting this fall, we will now be offering the Amina Grace Speech and Language tutoring program! This program provides youth, teens and adults with expanded opportunities to evolve and refine their speech and language skills. It is designed to support the increase of clarity of speech, enunciation, word order, message meaning and comprehension which benefits self-confidence, increased independence and overall quality of life.

A Speech and Language Pathologist will oversee the Amina Grace program and we are so excited to welcome both to the Playhouse!

Program Applications for fall tutoring, including the Amina Grace program, will open on August 23rd and will close on September 8th. Stay tuned for more information and how to register!

We are eager to start the fall sessions, but we are enjoying our summer programs. Our summer participants and tutors are having so much fun learning together! We are looking forward to the rest of the summer session!
