Looking Ahead to 2013
The Board of Directors is excited to begin reaching for the stars for 2013!
- Plans to makeover the Teen & Adult Area (of course they are willing to share it with the rest of us) are underway! We dream for this area of the Playhouse to be a place where people can hang out, bring their friends to, and to make their dreams come true!
- We will begin researching the GiGi’s Playhouse Handwriting Program with the National Office and hopefully be ready to role this out as a pilot in the Fall of 2013.
- To book the ‘i have a voice’ Traveling Galleries every day of 2013 reaching millions of new advocates and having each person share their voice with our ‘one million voices’ campaign.
- GiGi’s Playhouse Des Moines will host the 16th Annual Central Iowa Buddy Walk in August, raising Down syndrome Awareness to thousands in and around our state.
- We are working on adding Educational & Inspirational Speaking Engagements at GiGi’s Playhouse for our families, friends, volunteers to learn more about various topics that can help us educate and achieve
- It is a goal to increase our Programming & Volunteers, Utilizing everyone to their fullest potential will help us maximize what we offer. This will help in making sure we are giving every member of GiGi’s Playhouse a place to be!
Without funding from people like you and businesses that you frequent and work for we would not be able to achieve what we do everyday! Magic happens when you walk in the door of GiGi’s, the feeling of a warm embrace, a hug, or a cheerful smile by everyone that stops by is what GiGi’s Playhouse is about. We are a place for everyone to come to be Inspired, Educated and to Achieve! We are making a difference in this world and we have you to thank for that!
