Good Morning, Chicago Families!A signed Mike Quade jersey. Cubs, Sox, and Fire tickets. Gift cards and baskets. Jewelry. Those are the items available as raffle, silent auction and tournament prizes for our 4th Annual Game Night.

We’re getting ready, setting up brackets for Jenga, Bean Bag Toss and Connect 4 tournaments, and Wii Golf contest for longest-drive and closes to the hole. There will be music, food, drink and lots of fun. All for the entry price of $35/per person (if you register in advance). Haven’t registered? It’s going to be a great event at a great location (Belle Plaine Studio, right in our neighborhood, across from the CVS on Lincoln). We can’t wait to see you there.

Mark Your Calendars

Our Teen Drama Club has secured its space and time for its first public performance! On Sunday, May 15, our group will perform selections from Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet” at the Fasseas Theater at the Menomonee Club (1535 N. Dayton). The show starts at 6:30, and seating will begin shortly after 6. Space is limited, so if you plan to attend, drop us a quick e-mail.

The 5K Is Coming

What are you doing on June 12? Don’t forget to head out to the GiGi’s Playhouse Chicagoland 5K. We’ve set up a Chicago team, so you won’t feel like you’re out there by yourself. Just select “Chicago Playhouse” under Team Affiliation on the registration page.

From there, you can set up your own fundraising page, soliciting support and donations from friends and family around the country (and world, if you’re that spread out). The money you raise from this event comes back to the Playhouse to support our operations and programming.

The 5K run and 1 mile walk are at a new location this year, and it’s always a great opportunity to see the difference we’re making throughout the area.
