This week at GiGi’s Chicago

Ribfest!!!

During the weekend of June 10 -12, more than 50,000 people will head toward the Playhouse’s Northcenter neighborhood for Ribfest, a festival of music and meat. As a not-for-profit member of the Northcenter Chamber of Commerce, we can gain by filling several of the many, many volunteer shifts required to pull off such a massive undertaking.

So, how can you help? Sign up for a four-hour shift (or more). And get others to volunteer as well. Each volunteer can make up to $50 a shift for the Chicago Playhouse. Recruit your friends, neighbors and family to cover shifts on behalf of GiGi’s Playhouse. Turn it into an outing. Volunteer duties include: staffing the gate entrances, checking IDs, pouring and passing out beverages and staffing the Kids’ Square (where GiGi’s may also have a table).

Duties and shifts will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis, so don’t delay. We have volunteer forms at the Playhouse, or e-mail us and we’ll send you one. They’re also available at Ribfest’s official Web site. (Be sure when you fill it out to put “GiGi’s Playhouse Chicago” as the organization you’re affiliated with.)
