Thanks everyone who came out to our First(ish) Anniversary Party and those that were there in spirit. We had a great time celebrating our first year in Northcenter, unveiling our new windows (check them out; they look awesome), eating great food provided by Whole Foods and a performance from the Junior League of Chicago’s Mad Hatters. It was a great party, and we’re looking forward to many, many more.
As we move into our second year, we want to really get rocking and rolling, and we have plenty of opportunities for people to get involved. We’re currently accepting applications for new members from our Board of Directors. (Most of our current board is sticking around for year two, but we can always use more expertise — particularly in the fields of accounting, marketing, medicine and/or law — and passion.)
We’re also putting together several subcommittees to help us continue and expand upon the many things we’ve started. These subcommittees — Grant Writing, Events, Outreach and Programming — will be less of a time commitment than serving on the board, but are no less important to the continued smooth operation of a thriving Playhouse.
If you’re interested in any of these areas, send us an e-mail at chicago@gigisplayhouse.org. We’ve got great momentum. Now’s the time to build on it.

It promises to be a great night. Email Jack (jack@mdtavern.com) to reserve your spot, and we’ll see you there.
