Volunteer Spotlight: Meet Hannah

Hannah has been part of GiGi’s Playhouse Canton since our doors first opened, and in that time, she has truly become a jack of all trades! From participating in our GiGi’s Kitchen classes to supporting her love of movement in our GiGiFIT and dance programs, Hannah has done it all – she’s even participated in our one-on-one literacy tutoring program to brush up on and enhance her reading abilities! Over the recent years, Hannah has expressed more and more interest in not only being a participant, but taking on a volunteer role within the organization. Hannah’s confidence slowly started to build, helping lead warm ups during GiGiFIT, and now she has developed a passion for working with our youngest friends during our LMNOP program. As Hannah shares, “I love going to GiGi’s Playhouse for all the classes and events!”
In addition to her volunteer work during programs, Hannah also comes to the Playhouse regularly with her class from Siffrin Academy at Kent State Stark. Together, they help with cleaning projects, administrative tasks, and other behind-the-scenes needs. These opportunities not only keep our Playhouse running smoothly, but also gives Hannah the chance to practice important skills that build her independence and prepare her for future employment opportunities

Beyond volunteering, Hannah fills her life with music and movement – she loves to sing and dance! She’s also a big fan of fall, enjoying the crisp air and colorful leaves. Fun fact: she loves her greens, both the color and anything healthy on her plate.
Hannah’s dedication and commitment make a lasting impact on everyone who walks through our doors. Her warm, kind, and empathetic nature creates a space where others feel joyful, appreciated, and motivated. We are so grateful for everything Hannah brings to the Playhouse – her time, her talents, and most importantly, her heart.
