Volunteer Spotlight: Lisa

Name: Lisa Eliopoulos

Tell us a little bit about yourself.

Hi! I’m a mom of 2 amazing kiddos- Isabelle, 15, and Branson, 7. My husband and I met while I was in high school and have been together for over 20 years! We have 3 dogs and 1 bunny. I am currently working for Direction Home Area Agency on Aging as a long term care nurse consultant.

We want to get to know you! What are some of your favorites? (food, color, season, activity, restaurant, place to shop, etc.)

My favorite food is seafood, color turquoise, season summer, tree palm… can you sense a theme here! We love to go to Florida any chance we can get! Love Bonefish Grill and HomeGoods 🙂

How did you learn about GiGi’s and what prompted you to become a volunteer?

My son Branson has Down syndrome and my Help Me Grow intervention specialist connected me with a few local moms who also had kiddos with Down syndrome. We had a few play dates and that’s where I heard about GiGis. I soon after volunteered to help with the 2nd Ladies Night Out (now known as A Night with the Keys for GiGi’s) and have been volunteering ever since. I joined the board and was the treasurer for 2 years.

Tell us more about what you do at the Playhouse!

I am on the A Night Out committee and was a board member for over 2 years.

What is your favorite experience you have had at the Playhouse?

I love to see the excitement in Branson literally EVERY TIME we come to the Playhouse! He absolutely loves it there!!! As soon as we pull up he says “soooo excited” makes everything so worth it!!
