Best of All – The August Family

Todd August, Olivia’s dad, celebrated his retirement this past month by asking his co-workers and company partners to donate to GiGi’s Playhouse Annapolis. He shared handouts about GiGi’s Playhouse Annapolis with many of his colleagues and helped spread the word about the organization. What an amazing way to celebrate such a monumental life moment! GiGi’s Playhouse Annapolis is honored to be a part of the retirement celebration.

Mr.August raised almost $20,000 for GiGi’s Playhouse Annapolis – WOW! 

Florence, his wife and mom to Olivia, is one of the GiGi’s Playhouse Annapolis founding members and has contributed countless volunteer hours at the Playhouse. When Florence started out on the GiGi’s Playhouse Annapolis Start-Up Committee back in 2017/2018, she said “I believe GiGi’s will bring that front porch community to our Maryland families.” After 5 years of service, many will agree that GiGi’s has achieved Florence’s goal –  thanks to all of her efforts. 

Olivia is a self-advocate and enjoys sharing her love of GiGi’s with others. Whether it is representing GiGi’s Playhouse in the St Patrick’s Day Parade or working the Navy Football Concession stand, Olivia is always ready to volunteer to support GiGi’s Playhouse Annapolis. Before Olivia became super busy with work (she works at Bitty and Beau’s in Downtown Annapolis), she was a member of the GiGi’s Playhouse Annapolis Board of Directors where she helped make decisions about the Playhouse – quite an important job!

To show her gratitude, Olivia volunteered to write thank you notes from GiGi’s Playhouse Annapolis to each and every donor that contributed on behalf of her father’s retirement. Amazing work, Olivia!
