October: Down Syndrome Awareness & Acceptance Month

October is Down Syndrome Awareness & Acceptance Month! We are celebrating our friends who are extra awesome!

Thank you Diane, our location’s Founder, for your message:

“Today begins Down Syndrome Awareness & Acceptance Month. I’d like to send a message to all those petrified Mamas out there…those who just received a prenatal diagnosis or, like me, received their child’s diagnosis in those uncertain hours after giving birth. Breathe, Mama, just breathe. Your child is beautiful and unique and your journey is still going to be amazing. Your baby will make you grow and change in ways you can not imagine. You will become a better version of yourself, doing things you never imagined you could. This is really just the beginning of an incredible parenting adventure. Find your tribe…they are out there. Lean on them when you are weak. You can do this, and you can do it really well. I believe in you.”
