‘Best of All’ at GiGi’s Playhouse Westchester

“When you have a child with special needs, you might hear the words: limitations, impairments, disabilities, delays or challenges. And in the beginning you might think, What does this mean for my child? What does the future hold? While it may be easier to frame your child’s potential within these limitations provided by doctors or schools, I believe it’s better to focus on one word: potential.

“Potential means possibilities. Potential means progress. Potential means we as parents can believe in our child more than anyone else. Potential means opportunities to succeed, to make goals and help our child take steps to reach them.” (The Word That’s Important to Focus on as a Special Needs Parent by Kera Washburn)

I found the above article while on Twitter yesterday; and it made me think of the GiGi’s Playhouse BEST OF ALL Guide. In GiGi’s Playhouse lingo, reaching potential=BEST OF ALL. GiGi’s Playhouse is all about BEST OF ALL, which means striving for being the best one can be at any one moment. We encourage independence and setting high expectations for your child. Expect miracles and achievements!   GiGi’s is about unleashing each individual’s potential and we are here to help your child get there.

best of all (noun)\best of all\ is continual, measurable, celebrated and it never ends.

It is a daily challenge to do a little better than you did the day before and it’s always celebrated. What BEST OF ALL could look like: standing one second longer, reading one more word, learning just one new number, taking one more step. We always strive for that next accomplishment, that next level of BEST OF ALL!

Our February calendar has wonderful educational, therapy-based, social (and FREE) programming. Come, and we can be our BEST OF ALL together!
