At GiGi’s Playhouse Wausau, we believe in the power of community, the strength of families, and the importance of delivering high-quality programs that change lives. This year, we are proud to share that our Playhouse has once again been recognized for our commitment to excellence across multiple areas of operation. At this year’s GiGi’s Playhouse Annual National Conference, we were honored to receive the prestigious Center of Excellence designation in Marketing and Programs & Volunteer Management, and achieved Strong ratings in Operations & Facility and Family & Community Engagement—a testament to the dedication of our team, volunteers, and supporters.

These awards are part of GiGi’s Playhouse’s Standards of Execution (SOE) program, which evaluates Playhouses across eight core functions. Earning a Center of Excellence or Strong rating means a Playhouse is not only meeting expectations but exceeding them in ways that elevate the entire network. For Wausau, these recognitions reflect years of intentional growth, strategic planning, and a deep-rooted passion for serving individuals with Down syndrome and their families.
