Best of All: Joanna’s Journey with Virtual Playhouse

For many families, finding the right program that encourages growth, confidence, and connection can feel overwhelming. For Joanna and her family, the Virtual Playhouse became more than just an online program—it became a place where strength, courage, and joy could flourish. Through participating in GiGiFIT, Joanna discovered abilities she never thought possible, while her family witnessed incredible moments of transformation that they will never forget.

The phrase “Best of All” means continual growth that is celebrated every step of the way. It is not about competition or perfection. Instead, it is about doing a little better each day and recognizing even the smallest achievements. Joanna’s story perfectly captures the meaning of “Best of All.”

GiGiFIT is the first and only virtual physical program Joanna has ever participated in. Like many people trying something new, she was unsure of herself in the beginning. Physical exercises that may seem simple to others felt difficult and intimidating to her. One of those challenges was doing a plank. Joanna believed she could not do one at all.

Then came a moment her family will always treasure.

One evening before bedtime, Joanna’s mother gently asked her what she had learned from GiGiFIT. Without hesitation, Joanna got down on the floor and demonstrated a perfect plank position. Not only did she do it, but she held it strong for ten full seconds. Her mother was completely stunned. It was hard to believe how much progress Joanna had made in such a short time.

But Joanna was not finished showing what she had learned.

With excitement shining in her eyes, she proudly said, “Let me show you.” Then she demonstrated a bridge posture and held it for five seconds. In that simple yet powerful moment, her family felt overwhelming pride and happiness. These exercises may appear small to some people, but for Joanna, they represented growth, determination, and confidence that did not exist three years ago.

Today, Joanna is stronger, braver, and more confident than ever before.

The Virtual Playhouse has had a meaningful impact on Joanna’s entire family. One of the greatest benefits is the opportunity for Joanna to participate in regular exercise alongside others in a virtual community. The consistency of the program has helped create healthy habits while also encouraging social connection and inclusion. Seeing Joanna’s enthusiasm and progress has even inspired her family members to seek out regular workout programs for themselves.

The virtual format has also provided accessibility and comfort. Joanna is able to participate from home while still feeling connected to supportive instructors and peers who encourage her every step of the way. Programs like GiGiFIT create an environment where individuals are celebrated for effort, persistence, and personal victories.

For Joanna’s family, the experience goes beyond physical fitness. It is about confidence, independence, and believing in possibilities. Every new skill Joanna learns reminds them that growth happens one small step at a time. Whether it is holding a plank a little longer, learning a new exercise, or simply showing pride in her accomplishments, each moment is worth celebrating.

Joanna currently attends GiGiFIT virtual programming, and it remains her favorite program. Through the encouragement of the Virtual Playhouse community, she continues to challenge herself and achieve new goals.

Joanna’s journey is a beautiful reminder that “Best of All” moments are not always grand or dramatic. Sometimes, they happen quietly in a living room before bedtime, in the form of a determined smile and a ten-second plank. Those moments matter deeply because they reflect courage, perseverance, and the joy of becoming stronger every single day.
