Volunteer Spotlight: Maureen Schmitt

One of my favorite moments was when one of the participants asked if during the session, she and her graduate student could make a “pink drink,” like they make at Starbucks. The participant needed to list the ingredients and then talk about the sequence of how the drink was made. Then she and her student clinician made the drink. She was also required to ask all parents/grandparents/staff at the Playhouse if they would like a drink. She poured and passed out the drinks to everyone. She was so happy making the drink, drinking the drink, and sharing the drink.
