Our Why – Jim & Lori Kindon – GiGiFIT Acceptance Challenge

GiGiFIT Acceptance Challenge Team Spotlight: Team Katies Krazies 👉🏼  See Team Page Here

Lori and Jim Kindon have been faithful volunteers since the early days of GiGi’s Playhouse Syracuse and we are proud to share their WHY today!  👇🏾
GiGi's Playhouse SyracuseAre you honoring anyone with your team, if yes, why? Yes…….we are honoring our friend, Katie Macco who passed away in 2001 at the age of 23.. Katie was like a little sister to Jim and I and we know she would have thrived at a place like GiGi’s Playhouse.
How do you give your Best of All each Day? I work as a Special Education Teaching Assistant and strive to help our students be seen for the best of themselves and for their ABILITIES, not their DISABILITIES! I try to always be respectful of all individuals, and kind to ALL KINDS! We both hope we lead by example to help others see the beauty in our differences.
What is your favorite Program to participate in at GiGi’s Playhouse? Why? LMNOP of course! We love being able to sing and sign and dance with the babies of GiGi’s. Our nest is empty and Momma’s heart is longing for her little boys, so getting a chance to love on some little ones helps heal the hole in my heart.
What is your favorite way to volunteer at GiGi’s Playhouse? Why? (See above) We also enjoy helping out at fundraising events in order to help the Playhouse continue to provide FREE programs!
How do you show acceptance to other people? Just by being kind to everyone we come in contact with!! Not one of us is greater than another. Love one another as you love yourself!
What does it mean for you to have a GiGi’s Playhouse in our community? Our community is so blessed to have a place like this where people can go to feel loved and accepted! We love that GiGi’s programs span across all ages, from birth through adults!

Thank you, Lori & Jim! You can join Team Katies Krazies, support with a gift, or get your Team started today!

We are on a MOVEment to spread the message of Acceptance for all and we look forward to celebrating together on April 30th! Click here and get started today!
