Summer Fun: Growing & Learning Everyday!
This summer at GiGi’s Playhouse Southern Tier, we’ve been up to tons of fun summery activities! To name just a few: cooking class, art projects, a dog Show N’ Tell, movie days, a Summer BBQ, 1:1 math and literacy tutoring, kickball, meeting therapy dogs, and much more!
With each program, our participants get work on social, life, vocational, and educational skills all while making new friends, trying new things, and having fun!

We’ve also gotten to meet new families and volunteers this summer! Ever since we opened the Southern Tier in 2019, our goal has been to create an uplifting environment for those with Down syndrome and their loved ones. Meeting new families in the Southern Tier who had previously never heard of our Down Syndrome Achievement Center encourages us to keep on with outreach so everyone knows of the 100% free, educational, and therapeutic programs we provide for all ages!
Want to come join in on the fun? We welcome any new families of individuals with developmental disabilities and any interested folks who want to learn more about volunteering opportunities! Reach out to our Site Manager, Katie, at the Playhouse for a tour and more information!
