What’s Going on this Summer at GiGi’s Playhouse!
As we approach the Summer season, we keep getting asked the question, ‘What does GiGi’s Playhouse have to offer over the Summer months?’. We run programs year round at GiGi’s Playhouse! Plus, the summer gives us a chance to do some extra special programs and events outside and in the community. Take a look to see all the different programs and events we are hosting July & August!
Not only do we have lots of programs going on all summer long, but we are also open 5 days a week, 35 hours a week! Even when we don’t have a program going on, we welcome our participants and caregivers to stop in and use our space to hangout, play games, eat lunch, read, ECT! GiGi’s Kitchen Adult: Summer Series!
GiGi’s Playhouse will be hosting three GiGi’s Kitchen Adult classes over the summer! You can register for just one class, or all three! Registration will close the Friday before the class, or when all slots are full. Please note any dietary restrictions in the registration, and reach out to estoeckel@gigisplayhouse.org with any questions! Cooking Registration:
Kids Dance Classes!
Every other Wednesday at 6pm, there will be a kids Dance class! This program is targeted for school age children (5-12) and each week they will learn a new dance routine from a different genre!
Dates: July 2nd, July 16th, July 30th, August 13th, August 27th, September 10th
Adult Group Music Therapy Class!
This Summer, the amazingly talented Board Certified Music Therapist, Kristen Carter, will be leading an Adult Group Music Class on Tuesdays from 9:15-10:15am! Anyone interested in attending the class must register for each week they’d like to attend:
Family Friendly Kickball Games!
The Dicks ‘House of Sport’ has been kind enough to donate time on their turf sports field to GiGi’s to use for kickball throughout the summer! We will be playing 5 games throughout the summer on Wednesday evenings. Meet us directly on the Dick’s field for a fun game of kickball or come to watch!
5th Annual ‘Swing for Acceptance’ Golf Tournament!
Join us at Traditions at the Glen for 18 holes of golf, lunch and a buffet dinner! With a Captain and Crew format, every team registration includes green fees with cart, lunch at the Sugar Shack, 2 drink chips per golfer, and a post-golf dinner buffet. Not a golfer? The post-tournament buffet dinner is open to the public! Purchase a ticket and join us for dinner!

Summer BBQ Potluck: Beach Themed!
To end the summer on a fun note, the Playhouse will be hosting a beach themed BBQ potluck! We will be grilling up hotdogs, and ask for attendees sign up to bring a drink, side, or dessert! Check out our signupgenius link to see what needs to be brought.

Come dressed in your best beachy attire! Sunglasses, visors, Hawaiian shirt, ECT!
Talent Show!
We are excited to be holding a Talent Show for a second year! We love displaying our Playhouse Participants talents and giving them a platform to showing off their confidence!
From 5-5:30pm we will be serving light snacks and beverages, and the performances will begin at 5:30pm!
You can email your act (the song you will need and any props) to kwhaley@gigisplayhouse.org or sign up at the Playhouse after August 1st!
Throughout the summer, we will have Mr. Joel Smales in the Playhouse leading a drum Circle! Mr. Joel is an amazing percussionist, and a GRAMMY nominated music educator! He will be in the Playhouse every other Friday from 1:30-2:30pm.
