Achieve ~ Believe ~ Celebrate

Over the last 9 months, I have been privileged to meet so many new people during our volunteer orientations.  One of the questions I am always looking to answer is “Why?”.  Why does GiGi’s exist? Why do we offer the programs we do? Why is this a necessary presence in our community? And of course….

Why should you get involved?

We set high expectations at GiGi’s Playhouse.  It is one of the many things that makes us unique.  We BELIEVE that each one of us can ACHIEVE so much more, if we are expected to.  Our volunteers walk in each day, expecting to be amazed and we CELEBRATE each and every achievement!

Recently, one of our GiGiFIT leaders was so overwhelmed with these achievements, she shared the following:

“I actually cried for the first time driving home from GiGi’s this [morning]! Today was epic!!!! I cannot tell you the difference in these people!  All of the caregivers stayed today and were simply blown away by what they are doing.  They are doing such advanced moves from the basic movements that were difficult weeks ago.  They are the greatest group I’ve had the pleasure and honor to work with.”

This is WHY we volunteer.  Each and every person who walks through our doors should be challenged and supported to meet their fullest potential.  It is easy to say this, but to see and experience the impact our volunteers have to CHANGE LIVES…..indescribable!
