Every year on March 21, we come together to celebrate World Down Syndrome Day (WDSD) – a day dedicated to raising awareness, promoting inclusion, and embracing the incredible individuals in our community with Down syndrome.
Why March 21st? Because Down syndrome occurs when there is a third copy of the 21st chromosome – a small but mighty difference that deserves to be recognized, celebrated, and supported!

This year, GiGi’s Playhouse Sacramento is inviting YOU to celebrate with us at Leatherby’s! Gather your friends and family, wear your blue and yellow or your favorite Down syndrome acceptance gear, and enjoy an evening filled with community, connection, and, of course, delicious treats. Whether you stop by for an ice cream or stay for dinner, your presence makes a difference!
We love seeing old faces and meeting new people, so bring a friend and join the fun – because I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream!
