2024 Speech Re-Organization

Hello GiGi’s Families,

We are preparing to open registration for the literacy tutoring Spring session, which officially begins January 22, 2024. Watch for registration to open in the next week, seen as a ribbon on the calendar. Please register by January 6, 2024. Registration for literacy is being scheduled separately from speech this year.

GiGi’s Playhouse Sacramento is thankful to be one of 17 Playhouses across the country that offers the Amina Grace speech therapy program! Following the initial generous grant from Sutter Health, we are grateful to receive a grant from the City of Roseville to continue providing 1:1 speech therapy at no cost to families!

To sustain a high-quality supplemental speech therapy program for our participants, we have partnered with the Sac State Speech-Pathology Graduate School. Select graduate students will provide 1:1 speech therapy to our participants under the supervision of Meghan Lake, M.S. CCC-SLP. Aligning with the Sac State externship schedule, Spring session will run April-June, and Fall session will run November-January; each session will be 9-10 weeks in length. The designated speech times will be available 2-3 weekday afternoons. We also hope to offer a Summer session consisting of age-level social language groups for six weeks in July-August.

Participants will be accepted to one session per year (Spring or Fall), prioritizing those who have not yet had the opportunity to receive speech therapy at GiGi’s Playhouse. This year, we respectfully ask that you not register for the current session if you know that your participant would be absent for more than one visit. Applications for speech will open in March.

Thank you for participating in GiGi’s Playhouse programs!
