Summer Teen Time Begins

What a great time we had at our first Teen Time for summer 2013.  We were all greeted by Loves Park Police Office Brian.  Brian opened his squad car for us to take a peek at.  We even sounded the siren.  That sure started the day out right.  We made our lunch of grilled cheese sandwiches and chatted with our new and old friends.  We learned about what heritage means, made a craft and had fun with mad science experiments.  We had a full day of fun.  Our wonderful summer intern Evelyn and her team of volunteers kept everyone busy and engaged all afternoon.  We played games and basketball too.  We even helped clean up the kitchen and the playhouse before leaving for home.  We hope to see you all next week as well as some of our teen friends who couldn’t make it to teen time this week.  Have a great week everyone and we’ll see you next Wednesday.`
