Leading the Way…Ashley Mahon

Here at GiGi’s Playhouse Rockford, we are constantly blown away by our amazing GiGi Prep, GiGi U, and GiGi Professional students. With 22 participants enrolled in our Career Development Programs, it’s easy to look around and be truly inspired by the dedication and hard work happening all around us. These students are not only working hard to advance in their professional aspirations but also to reach their “best of all” in every aspect of their lives. To help our students accomplish that end, we have implemented five GiGi U Guiding Values in our program that help lead us in the right direction. The values are respect, responsibility, independence, kindness, and honesty. Focusing on these core values has allowed our students to actively practice these principles and recognize their own progress while demonstrating them.

A perfect example of someone who truly embodies all of these values is GiGi Prep student Ashley Mahon. Ashley is an outstanding 23-year-old young woman who has met each expectation by overcoming every challenge thrown her way. Her optimism and genuineness have made her a guidepost for those around her in everything we do in class. She has a caring nature and a vibrantly positive attitude that empowers and inspires participants and volunteers alike to strive to match her energy. Ashley is also an aspiring singer and actress, participating in all of our theatre programs at GiGi’s and other arts programs throughout the community. Her theatrical prowess is just another tangible example of Ashley’s confidence and care that she shows in every aspect of her life. She is a truly gifted and giving person, and we are lucky to have her at the Playhouse. Thank you, Ashley, for all of your hard work!
